I am currently at my freshman year at DePaul University. I am from California, but chose the school mainly due to location and was offered a large scholarship. I was looking forward to college but have found myself hating the experience because of the lack of challenge in the classroom and lack of friendships outside the classroom. I tried joining clubs and talking to people on my floor the first quarter, but nothing happened and I have no motivation to try to make friends this quarter.

I am in the honors business program, but I’m not if thats what I want to do and I really have no idea what I want to do.

I am strongly considering moving back home transferring to a local community college after my freshman year and then after a year at a ccc transferring to a california university. (Reaches; UCLA, Berkeley) (Probables; Davis, Cal Poly Slo) (Almost Guaranteed ; SJSU).

I got a 3.5 my first quarter at DePaul and expect to get similar grades the next two quarters. I am fine going to any of the above stated California schools. I fail to see any cons to this plan, but was wondering if there was anything I was overlooking or haven’t considered.

Thanks
