Prospective CS major schedule

Well I’m a rising freshman, prospective CS major, I am unsure whether i want to follow the pre-med track. My schedule to me seems a little easy and I would appreciate input and comments. All of my classes take place between 9AM-2PM, I would consider myself a fair morning person. Also…

Do professors mind if you eat in class? I’m booked around noon - I probably will eat like a granola bar or maybe something small arriving before I arrive to class. Early to class and eat there? If not I don’t really mind a late lunch.

There’s an instance where I have 15mins to get between classes, on my orientation visit the walk definitely seems doable within 5-10.

The only thing I really despise about my schedule is English at 9AM on three days of the week, and I’ve always hated the subject too but freshman writing is only in the morning and the only time that fit my schedule.

Also I was wondering what kinds of food can be prepared without a microwave? We aren’t allowed to bring a microwave, unless we rent a ‘microfridge’ because something about the wifi in the dorms. What kind of snacks do you eat in your dorm if you do? There is a kitchen in the housing area I requested, how do shared kitchens work, and do people have experience with this?

Well,if you’re thinking of going pre-med(even tentatively) you should probably take an intro natural science class with lab, maybe Chem or Bio?And please don’t eat in class,it can be REALLY irritating and disruptive to other students.

Most professors don’t care if you eat in class, but out of respect for other students, please don’t.

A small snack should be okay as long as it doesn’t have a loud wrapper or make crunching sounds. Avoid bringing meals into class, especially if they smell strong.

Wow, you school really caters to nocturnal CS majors…

Perhaps just eat a late lunch, since eating lunch may cause you to be drowsy or sleepy in the early afternoon (not good if you have classes at that time after lunch).

Most professors don’t care, however they will request you to be quiet about it.

Alright so it seems like I’ll probably have a late lunch. Any ideas on what kind of foods I can eat without a microwave?

Bag lunch stuff…Sandwiches, chips, veggie sticks, apple wedges…etc.
