I’m a junior in the IB program and every year, we only get one elective in addition to our IB courses. When I was a freshman, I took Basic Technical Drawing; when I was a sophomore, I took PreAP Computer Science, and this year I took a World Religions course and I am currently overloading my schedule to take Physics.
I am taking Higher Level Math, Higher Level Computer Science, and I am a Chemistry student so I have a rather math and science based schedule. I wanted to take a Art Photo class to relax next year, but I really want to look competitive for college next year (Cornell is my number one choice) so I plan on taking an AP class next year instead. My question is: Should I take AP Statistics, AP Environmental Science (online course), or AP Art History?
I was told that Stats was necessary for engineering and that it looked good because it’s rare to see it on a transcript, Environmental Science interests me because it seems like it could be useful for engineering, and Art History just seems like a fun, interesting class. My history teacher said that I should take the most challenging class as possible and that colleges would want to see classes that make me well rounded (Art History) but my chemistry teacher said that I should take a relaxing class (Art Photo) to enjoy my last year in high school.

What would look better on a transcript?
