Prospects of getting scholarships.

What are the prospects of getting a full or 50% scholarship for undergraduate Engineering and BBA in Australia and Canada for Indian students?

Really…most folks on this site don’t even have knowledge of the 3000 or so colleges in the U.S. and you are expecting they will know what colleges in Australia and Canada will give you?

Even if folks DO have some info…you haven’t provided anything to guide them…like family income and your GPA and SAT or ACT scores.

And I’ll ask the obvious question…are you looking at schools in India for engineering?

Thats what i need to know that how much score do I need on my GPA and SATs being an Indian student to get the scholarship(fully funded or 50%) in engineering and BBA colleges in Australia and Canada. And, no I am not looking at schools in India for Engineering.

You should be looking in India.

Getting a HUGE scholarship as an international student is not likely.

There are a ton of Indian students with high stats applying for engineering to many colleges.

Here is my suggestion…take your SAT and ACT tests…then come back with that info.

In the meantime research college in India.

You can look up specific schools in Australia and Canada and their scholarship opportunities, which should be listed on their websites.

Yeah. Thanks. But if you have any information about any specific college, please do inform me.

I don’t know how you expect any real help.

–You have not provided your grades/standardized tests/ECs/awards/etc.
–You will not consider what are excellent options in your home country with no reason why.
–You do not appear to have done any meaningful research on your own.

In general admission and financial aid for any international students, especially from over-represented countries such as India are hotly competitive.

hello sir/madam, The grades/standardized tests/ECs/awards/etc you’re talking about, thats what i need to know that how much grade do i need to get a scholarship. Also, there must be a reason i am not considering excellent options in my home country, but if i need information about the colleges in Australia and Canada without explaining you why i am not considering indian colleges, is there any problem with that?? And I am still researching about the colleges and this site is one of the medium of my research.

This is for Canada.

thank you so much

You don’t owe anyone here an explanation. However, you will likely owe explanations to very similar questions to the folks who will be interviewing you as they consider whether or not to approve your student visa application.

What sorts of stats do you need to be competitive for scholarships that provide a LOT of aid as an international student?

You need to aim for an ACT score that is 34 or higher.

You need to aim for a SAT score that is 1550 or higher.

Even with those scores, you will be competing with MANY others from your area for scholarships…and many will have equally high stats. If you don’t have tip top stats, it’s not likely you will receive merit aid from colleges in countries other than your own.

I believe the scholarships @Eeyore123 posted are competitive awards and are not guaranteed for all applicants with high stats.

The other thing no one here can tell you is how competitive the applicant pool will be the year YOU apply to college. It’s very possible that stats will be higher in terms if awarding those merit awards.

Have you done an Internet search for college forums in Australia or Canada? You might get better info from folks who live in those countries.

Also, what year ARE you in High School? Can your family contribute to your college costs at all? How much?

Australia doesn’t really offer full scholarships.
