Prove this person wrong. Or right.

…this is a perfect example of how people dismiss a school just because it’s public.

Haas is an amazing school. Even though rankings aren’t the only way to judge a school, they can give you a decent idea of its reputation and prestige. US news ranks it higher than both NYU and USC for undergrad AND grad school. About.com ranks it 3rd in the nation (NYU and USC don’t even make it into the top 5). Wall street journal ranks it second, only behind Dartmouth, for its grad program (on this list NYU and USC are #17 and #18 respectively).

Your friend is ridiculous. UCB is more selective and prestigious than USC and NYU overall, and business is one of its top programs (the other being engineering).

So yeah…just my 2cents.

Hass over the other two for sure. Berkeley is amazing. Great at so many things.

just to point out, there are so many misinformed, ignorant, and arrogant idiots who make outrageous statements like this especially on this site, all the time. no matter how much evidence and stats you provide, they won’t listen.

I suppose it mostly depends on fit. Yes, Berkeley is rated much higher than either, both undergrad and grad. However if I were planning to work in NYC, I might choose NYU for local internships. Not sure where USC fits in this, other than perhaps if the student wanted to settle in Socal, that would also be a good choice.

According to this link, Berkeley is looking good to me.

HOL – yeah, but you have to take off several places from that ranking because Berkeley and UM are public…

DunninLA, I really don’t think it matters.

I think Dunnin was being sarcastic.

You forgot to mention that all of its grad math/sciences and most of its social sciences and humanities are ranked in the top five, if not the top two.

Haha thank you guys ;)
