My recent favorite, frequently applicable, is “Not my circus, not my monkeys”.
“Your procrastination is not my emergency”.
“The only real problem is what to do next”.
It is what it is…
Let go or be dragged
Spiderman credo:
With great power comes great responsibility
Just keep swimming…
Life is not a destination.
When in danger or in doubt, run in circles scream and shout.
Homer Simpson:
How come things that happen to stupid people keep happening to me?
This too shall pass…
Original seemingly came from the Coast Guard if I remember rightly.
“when in danger, when in doubt, port your helm and turn about.”
If a boat is coming at you and you aren’t sure who has the right-of-way–assume you don’t and change direction. Better safe than a sucky day.
The circus-monkey one is my new current mantra. Very applicable at the moment!
I like “Let go & let God” but yours made me grin. Good one.
“You can’t cure crazy”
I need to put this up somewhere in my classroom
Or the variation on that, “Your lack of planning does not constitute an emergency for me”.
It’s not how you start, but how you finish.
Here is one from my ex-FIL when D1 was born when H was out of town:
“Doesn’t matter if he was there for the christening as long as he was there for the laying of the keel.”
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”
Don’t compare your insides to somebody else’s outsides.
