Im from the west coast so I no absolutely no one who went to providence. I really hope I get in I feel like I might not get in based off of what I’ve read. What is everyone else’s stats?
Your GPA is good for Providence. Do you have a test score? Their overall acceptance rate is about 50 percent and you GPA is above average. I think you have a good shot, especially if you have a solid test score. Are you Catholic?
I have a test score but it is below the average for PC so I’m not going to submit them. I am Catholic though so maybe that will help
Is PC your top choice? If so and if it is affordable for you, I would consider applying ED. Their ED acceptance rate is super high…like 87 percent. Good luck!
PC is not affordable at all unfortunately. I used their calculator and I got 0 grants from PC and only 7k pell grant to cover 73k. Unfortunately I was hoping for more aid as my budget is 20k a year for college so I think I will not be able to go
A post was merged into an existing topic: Providence College Early Action / Early Decision for Fall 2024 Admission
We visited recently and they actually stated that their current acceptance rate overall is 47% and for the nursing program it was in the 30’s (don’t remeber the exact # but something like 36%)
Son applied EA because he had one more school to visit. I think he is planning to call and see if he can switch to ED now. (apparently it’s been done before).
3.8ish
ACT 34 super score
Small HS for students who learn differently but has thrived and is taking DE class both semesters.
Interested in Business - finance or management
So great that he loved it. You can definitely switch an EA application to ED if he’s sure it’s his first choice. My child did last year at her first choice school (not at Providence - but I believe they will all let you do it). He will almost definitely get in. Their ED acceptance rate is higher than 80 percent…and his stats are higher than their average. Good luck!
That’s what he did. CSS + FAFSA complete as well. Now just waiting
Does anyone know when the EDs will come out
Early decision results come out this week (the first week of December) per a recent email from Providence that announced the FAFSA was available to complete.
The admission IG announced earlier this afternoon (Tuesday 3rd) that they will release ED1 TONIGHT! Good luck everyone.
He got in!
Where’s the thread for that?! So excited for him.
Son received email today from Providence stating EA decisions will be out next week on Dec 17th.
Congratulations! He’ll love it there. At least the two of mine who went through PC loved it.
Does anyone know what time the early action decisions come out today?
Does anyone know if major is a consideration? I chose a smaller major and am now thinking that it may be so small that many aren’t accepted.
