Proving Proficiency for Joint Accelerated Program?

hey guys…im talking about the Huntsman and Wharton School joint degree program. It says i have to prove proficiency. Do they mean spoken proficiency or “skills” and knowledge about the langauge…as the real definition of proficiency suggests…? Like i can speak one of the languages very fluently, but never took a course or class on it in my life!!! so what should i do and whts the whole process? whats the whole deal with the exam and all?..plzz help me out here!

BUMPPPPPPP…anybody home???

did u get the proficiency test?

no i didnt…but i want to ask about it!..see, i know how to speak a langauge…but dont know how to read or write it! get it? so i wanna know, in this case, what can i do??..does anybody have the e-mail of the person i cud contact regarding this thing? thanks!

i dunno man… i think two or three people have already received the letters so if you or me don’t get one by monday or tuesday, then we’re not going to huntsman.
good luck i would try calling admissions on monday.

no but u applied ED there…im applyin RD…

im doing my app now…for RD

What language? What did you get on the SAT 2 for your language?

no im talkin about hindi…they dont have an SAT II for it! But they said they’re gonna send a test of their own! So my QUESTION again is that, i just am really fluent in the language and cant read or write! Even though im excellent in speaking, i cant write or read…get my point?..thats it…so what shud i do?

How are you fluent in the language when you can’t speak or write?

lol…gud question eh’!..

Hindi is the national language of India…Urdu is the national language of PAkistan…both used to be the same country and known as the sub-continent. Hence, the langauge was the same, but the script is different, as urdu traces back to Arabic, Persian etc…!..Thats why!

And if you dont know…thousands of hispanic first generation kids know spanish but cant really read or write that well…!
