Psat 198

If a student gets 198 in 10th & 11th grade PSATs , generally what can he expect to score on the SATs / new SATs ??

1980 (chars)

it can vary wildly…but generally students tend to trend upwards when below the 200 composite for the psat when compared to the real sat…but like i said…it can vary wildly…if you study hard you can probably pull it up more than the average…

There was a 400 point difference between both of my PSAT’s and my SAT score. Is it accurate? I think if you studied for the SAT’s before you took the PSAT, your score will be a good indicator of how you will do. If you just took the PSAT’s and decided to study for the SAT’s after, it’s a terrible indicator.

^ Well that’s good. I would definitely like my PSAT higher, but I virtually didn’t study for it, so I guess I’ve got a good chance of having a greatly increased SAT score :)

I’ll tell you when I get my SAT score back next week :)

I got a 195 on the psat and didn’t study until the January SAT.

see post 235 for some average improvements of other self-reporting CCers in your PSAT range:

I got a 209 on the PSAT and a 2130 on the real thing. I didn’t study for either one (I’m wayyy too lazy for that…heh)…so obviously studying didn’t warp my scores…
