So I took the free PSAT prep test that they give with the PSAT Bulletin, and found that I had a significant score increase compared to other tests that I have taken before. How accurate do you think the bulletin test is compared to the real PSAT? Thanks in advance!

Huh, I saw a 10 point decrease

the real thing was lower?? @Zeppelin7

I am curious too. Last year my son scored 139 without preparation and last week he scored 230 in the PSAT bulletin practice test after 2 months of SAT preparation during summer.

@singbirdsing well i was going over old PSAT booklets from years pasts over the summer and was consistently getting 200s on them, but on the practice one i got in the 190s.

the 2014 PSAT bulletin test was the REAL PSAT on Wednesday in 2012, so it is very accurate.

DS had a 10+ point jump over other practice tests he had taken.

Maybe that at least partly explains the record high cutoffs for the kids graduating in 2014. The test turned out easier than average.
