@krauser126 What emails are you talking about? Scores haven’t been released yet so they haven’t set us an email with our access code yet. People are saying that we will get this email at 8 EST(5 PST) today.
@tigerrocks13
There are several students who scored 160-185 in 2014 and received TASP invitations, whereas several other students who scored from 205-230 did not receive TASP invitations. Of course there could be other explanations for this. For example, the low-scorers are all people living in remote areas and/or URGs, and the high scorers all lost their TASP emails in their spam folders.
Once the 2015 PSAT scores come out, there will be much more evidence as whether the 2016 TASP invitations are based on 2014 or 2015 PSAT scores.
Evidence that TASP invitations are based on 2014 scores:
- People who had high scores in 2014 but low scores in 2015 received TASP invitations.
- People who had low scores in 2014 but high scores in 2015 did not receive TASP invitations.
Evidence that TASP invitations are based on 2015 scores:
- People who had low scores in 2014 but high scores in 2015 received TASP invitations.
- People who had high scores in 2014 but low scores in 2015 did not receive TASP invitations.
College Board has not been a model of honesty, especially under Coleman.
After the timing error in June 2015, College Board claimed that it could drop two sections from the SAT without in any way affecting the validity of the scores. It also claimed that every section in the test has the same difficulty level.
My experience is that different sections have quite different difficulty levels.
If it were really the case that 2 sections could be dropped with no effect on the validity of the scores, why does the SAT have 10 sections instead of 8?
Nonetheless, CB did not go out of business after June 2015.
My PSAT score of 206 probably wasn’t all that good compared to my high school. I know of several people who scored upwards of 235 in my social circles alone… or maybe it’s by district @yousefk
Omg I just went on quickstart and almost freaked out because I thought the scores were up and I was shocked…then I saw that it was a demonstration of what the score report will look like…phew
can anyone check if they are up?
@joeweller They’re not up yet. 8 A.M. EST is the supposed release time
@masalvada123 Ah, thanks!
Do we actually know that CB is going to send an e-mail with the access code? CB has been saying nothing beyond "scores will be available beginning Jan. 7 . . . ". D3 definitely needs either her access code or her “student ID” and we’re not even sure if that’s supposed to be a school ID or something else. Very confusing.
Sorry if this link has already been provided but here is a good article about accessing the PSAT score:

Can’t see it. I have created psat account. Do suppose to get a access code from CB?
@bdragon CB will release whatever they’re planning to do in regards to scoring in 1 hour.
CB will email the access code to the email address your D provided on the test form.

Scores are up! I think my son will be right on the bubble. 216 in Texas…going to be close…
On the Tasp thing, he’s a Stem major, scored a 191 last year with a 59 in writing and did get something in the mail. Maybe email too but I think it was deleted. Much better scores this year.
