<p>Is there a PSAT essay supplement? Where I’m taking the test my counselor said that the essay is optional and that they are giving it. To my knowledge there is no essay on the PSAT. She said that the test would be of 2hrs 40mins rather than 2hrs 10mins. I am taking the test outside the US.</p>
<p>Well there’s no essay in the US, it might be possible that the college broad is doing like an experiment or something, but a PSAT essay sounds like it’s pure BS.</p>
<p>She is uninformed. When you get your psat score report, there is an sat practice essay, but that’s it. </p>
<p>I can’t find the link where they have the information, but [2008</a> PSAT/NMSQT Practice Test Explanations](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>Studying and Practicing for the PSAT/NMSQT – SAT Suite) is the answers to the PSAT practice for 2008, and it only has 5 sections; no essay.</p>
<p>I’ll tell you after I’ve taken the test. I never heard of the essay myself.</p>
