PSAT importance?

I recently received my score for the PSAT. I’m a Junior from Kentucky and scored a 205 (74 R, 70 M, 61 W). While I’m not disappointed with my score, I was hoping to make the–very low–cutoff for Kentucky (usually around a 210). I have scored higher on the ACT (32) since we have been taking ACT practices since 7th grade. However, I’m trying to put not making National Merit in perspective. Other than the benefit of scholarship money, does the National Merit Qualification weight significantly in college applications? Any help is appreciated.
