PSAT Prep

I have the PSAT soon and I am a junior. I’m applying to a program this summer (MITES) that recommends sending in PSAT scores, and saw that the average score for the admitted group of students is 67 math and 61 writing. Also, I’m applying to RSI at MIT as well, and that says that to be a strong applicant, you must score 220. My parents got me some prep books, but they won’t get me a tutor. I really want to do well, my goal score is 210+. Not only do I want to help my chances on being admitted to those programs, but I also want to have a chance for National Merit Semifinalist, or National Acheivement Semifinalist. Any suggestions for how I prepare for the PSAT?

Prepare for the PSAT, just like you would the SAT except ignore the essay. There’s plenty of advice on this forum for SAT studying; I recommend starting with the threads from xiggi and sliverturtle.

@CHD2013‌ thanks so much for the advice!

^Good luck
