psat, "put your pencils down" question

“so just let it go. it really doesnt make a difference. if your son is really bright. one little junior psat score isnt gona stop him from accomplishing whatever he wants to in
life”
2.5 Grand in the hole will get you a good start.
"he will make a wonderful husband and father " “I have no doubt that he will be a success in life, in the things that truly count.”
I’m not exactly sure what those things that truly count are, but you are talking about financial success, I’ll tell you right now it’s too early to judge a 17 year old.

glucose - dont’ take it personally! No one’s rounding on you. If anything, seems like the overall opinion is rounding on her son’s choice. Anyway, sorry if using your name or quoting you made you uncomfortable. No harm meant.

appliedmath - why do i think that financial success is not something that is going to truly count to these people?

Anyway, we are sort of taking it all out of perspective. The son has time to change, if he wants, and if so, for better or worse. It’s only one incident, one test, one moment where time was called and he made a split-second decision, not to be extrapolated to how he’ll act later, or has acted before. Just leave it la, the son knows what he’s doing. This thread came up perhaps more as a sigh that was let out here.
