^Scores or Telluride letters?

what scores do you need to get a letter from telluride?

^Not sure. I think I saw somebody with a 224 who got the letter. I got one with a 236.

800 M + CR with 750 W.

I have no idea how I got an 800 M when I clearly picked the wrong answer for one. Misbubbling ftwz?

Nice job SandwichGirl. Exact opposite with me for the math- I had the right answer but misbubbled my answer, but I won’t complain about a 72.

Telluride letters, sorry. I am definitely planning on applying as well.

So i’m still waiting for my PSAT scores (my school kept them over winter break;[), but i got a telluride letter and i don’t know if i got it 'cause i requested more information on the website some months ago or because of my PSAT scores…

If you get a letter it means you did well in cr and w from what ive observed. People usually get the letter if their combined cr and w score is 145+ and they score over 75 in either cr or w. Let me know what you guys think about this theory.

@Pinkrocket: Same here, my school is lame. Every other school in georgia gets theres but our school decides to let them gather dust instead of giving them to us. But i also got the TASP letter today, so i guess thats mildly encouraging

62 CR
70 Math
69 Writing

S.I: 201

Am I guaranteed for commended?

I’m so mad right now
68 CR
76 M
69 W

213 Composite

the math question I missed I got the right answer and boxed it… then i bubbled something else into the scantron.
And the cutoff for Texas was 215 last year, which means that it cost me national merit

I finally get mine back tomorrow. I’m fairly nervous though. Last year as a sophomore I didn’t do to well only getting a 185, (65W, 64M, and a pathetic 56CR). I hope I did better this year, but considering the harsh math curve I’m not so sure. I know I miss 4 math questions for sure, maybe 5, but other than that I have no idea what my score may be. Did any one else from PA get theirs yet? If so what did you get?

My school hasn’t released our PSAT scores yet, but I have gotten a TASP postcard. I hope that means I’m a Merit Semifinalist.

Everyone says that they got Telluride postcards, but I received a large envelope with a letter, a brochure, and an application inside. Is there a difference?

^That’s what I got, actually. I got the application/brochure package, not a postcard.

i wonder why there’s a such a big difference between my W and CR scores…
i wish i knew how to read…

Got a tasp application/brochure but no postcard. Maybe it’s different for different score ranges?

68 CR
69 M (misbubbled first question and missed 2 easy ones)
68 W
Total: 205
From what I’ve read on this forum, this is good enough to be commended, but I’m a bit unsure of what that means. Could someone explain?

60 CR
49 M
59 W

sucksssssssssss but I had a football game the night before, and we didn’t get in until about 2:30 in the morning

MMAfAnatic9:
It all depends on you state’s cutoff scores- though 205 might not make the cut. Commended basically means that you are recognized for being a high scorer (nice job!) but you do not continue in the competition as a national merit semifinalist. However, it seems that you have a solid base in all three sections- you could definitely do well on the SAT.
