PSAT results!!!!!

Umm…what?

Do you mean your CR section score x 10 was that?

ok. psat taken sophmore year i got 55 for CR
psat taken junior year (this year) igot 73. all i wanted to say lol.
and before i took my FIRST psat i used to get like 400’s on CR in my academy

Since my school won’t be releasing PSAT scores for an undefined long while, could somebody who has gotten theirs back (or when somebody gets their scores back) post the answers to the juror question (Writing…something about the beginning phrase of a question having to do with jurors) and to the Japanese voice actress one (she is better known for something…)?

Can’t say for sure about the juror question (still haven’t gotten scores back here in OH!), but a CCer emailed CB and received a definitive answer about the Japanese voice actress–it was no error, because “best” was comparing that single work to the totality of her work.

The juror: The answer is (A) Were they to be told; and the Japanese actress was (E) No error.

on sophomore psat last year i had a 178…this year I had a 213…68 CR, 70 M, 75 W…i’m in texas and the cutoff last year was 215…any chance it could drop? and i’m pretty much guaranteed commended right?

what was the juror question?

Yep, guaranteed Commended. There is a chance that the cutoff could drop 2 points, but there is typically not that much variation in large population states.

Were they to be told of the defendant’s criminal record, the jurors would be unable to consider the current case without bias.

what was the one with egypt pyramids, it was like the last identyfying error question. thnx

what was wrong with "were they to be told of "

Egypt’s chief archaeologist a has reported b the discovery of a pyramid thought to c be built some 4,300 years ago for d the founder of the Old Kingdom’s Sixth Dynasty. e No error

The answer is C

Could you put the answer choices in brackets? Also, I believe the juror question was just choose the correct sentence not choose the error.

Not “thank you” for providing the answers, but could you spend more time to make them more convenient for me to read? I just copied and pasted. The directions are as follows:

Select the one underlined part of the sentence that must be changed to make the sentence correct, or select “No error” to indicate that the sentence contains no error.

I’m thankful you did it… I just couldn’t tell what the answer choices were…

I actually think the cutoff might be the same or a point or two higher- the math was definitely easier than last year’s.

Guys u kno for the math section with the f(x)=g(x) how do u get 2 values? I can only find one lol

appreciate the answer although i got it wrong … oh well

Mom here … A question regarding the cut-off…

If you student scored higher than last years cut-off by 5 for your state does that automatically mean you are commended with a very good chance of receiving National Merit Semifinalist status?

I understand they have to validate your score too - can the SAT test have been taken in June 2010 (before the PSAT) and count as validation or only SATs taken after the PSAT count?

^cut-offs rarely change by 5. so you’re safe.
yes, you could take sat before psat. make sure you send score report.
validation score is in the 1940-2000 range – same for all states, regardless of your psat score.
