PSAT results!!!!!

My son’s counselor said scores are “in the building” and would be sent home this week. He attends a public school in central Ohio.

whats the commended cutoff?

While Semi-finalist cutoffs vary by state, the commended cutoff is national, and is typically about 202.

What was that one critical reading problem that caused all the fuss?

And why do I know that? D received PSAT scores today (KY) and will receive commended status, but not enough for semifinalist. Still a good score, but a disappointment. :frowning: Oh well, she did her best.

Super nervous. I’m gonna be so ****ed off if I don’t make the cut off last year was 215. Got the e-mail that scores came in but not access code so I can’t get it. Does anyone know the answer to the vocab with the blood pressure? Memorized 3,000 words and I didn’t know what the question wanted.

What is usually the cutoff for commended status? I think I heard somewhere that it’s for scores in the 96 percentile and over?

sadly i didnt make it. i just made the 89th percentile D:

its still good but im still aiming higher:DDD

Audacity, D received 201, which was also listed as 96% range, if this helps. Good luck.

commended usually 199-201 range.

Thank you for the replies. I got a 199 so I’m hoping I’ll make the commended cut-off, but I doubt I’m going to make it :frowning:
I guess I’ll just have to wait until Dec. 21 to see my SAT score because that’s what really matters!

Anyone know about the buttress question?

Buttress was incorrect. The correct answer was “impair…minimize.” (however, as a side note, the College Board said in its explanation that “aggravate” worked, but it was “buttress” that makes the answer incorrect…)

anyways…240 :D!

76 CR
80 M
79 W
Total: 235

Soooo happy. :D

Congrats to the 240s out there.

Could someone post questions and answers, or is that against CC policy?

Does anyone know the curve this year for each section?

charlotte, the link to this year’s curve is at post #49. Good luck.

I need help with the g(x)=3/5x graph multiple choice question for form s…

I’ve just gotten an email saying that I can view my scores online, but I’m still waiting on the access codes. Aaaaah, soooo nervous!!!

SatTooEasy
The answer for the graph was 2… If you graphed a line, it crossed the figure twice.
