going to beg my counselors today for my score!! hope I can get it from em.

Hi all - I’m new, so be gentle. ;)

My daughter received her results yesterday. She got a 201, 96 percentile. Does anyone know if that will get her commended status? I looked through this thread but couldn’t find the answer.

I think you can figure out your score range even if you don’t have access code. IF you log in to college board and go to page where it asks for your access code, below is a box which tells you how many questions you missed. Use the conversion chart to figure your range based on possible combination of missed CR + M + W that would total the number you missed. E.g., 10 missed = 3+4+3, or 4+3+3, etc.

I think that chart is your scores from past years.

The “chart” is the conversion chart published by CB for Oct. 2010 test dates (link further up in this thread). The box below access code place is number of questions missed on most recent test - I’m pretty sure, anyway, since the number listed for me is different today than the number I missed in either 2008 or 2009.

so cb2012, that will tell me whether she qualified for commended scholar?

I don’t know what the cutoffs are. I’m just trying to figure out possible range of my score based on how many they say I got wrong.

Where does it tell you how many questions you missed without needing to have entered the code? I don’t see anything like that on the College Quickstart Page… Are you talking about somewhere else?

Log in to my college quickstart. Clink on the link for 2010 scores. You will come to a place where they ask for access code to get 2010 scores. Below that box is a list of 5 options, one of which is “my sat study plan.” That box lists number of questions missed. My number is different that what I missed in 2008 or 2009, so I’m thinking it’s what I missed this year.

The number of errors is definitely from this year’s psat.

Suzy100, the range the last few years has been 200-202. If she makes it she should get an acknowledgment in the spring.

Mine doesn’t have a number in it…

cb2012, we checked your method for my son who does not have the 2010 access code yet. Unfortunately, the box that says “my sat study plan” still lists the number of questions he missed on the 2009 test. (Maybe your Quickstart has a lucky glitch!) Good luck to all.

Just got my PSAT scores! so excited!

I got a 245

CR- 80
W-80
M-85

I am now ready to begin my life as a superior member of society.

Unfortunately, I don’t get a lucky glitch either - I’m still seeing the # my son missed last year.

I am not seeing the missed questions, either. No lucky glitch for my D. I guess she has to get the access code from the school. :(

My son’s shows 4 missed questions which is exactly what he missed in 2009. Presumably it isn’t updated.

suzy100 - the exact cutoff for commended won’t be known for many months. I think it usually ranges between 199-202. I would think your chances are good. A letter comes out in the spring (April I think). That letter will go out to everyone at or above the cutoff. So if you get a letter you know that you are least commended.

Aren’t you lucky parents! Your kids share their CB account info with you! I know what reply I’ll get if ask my kid. sigh.

Thank you all for the helpful replies - I appreciate it!
