PSAT results!!!!!

No glitch for me either; it still shows that I missed 8 questions (which is what happened to me in 2009).

yeah! 216 67-Cr 69-W 80-M , anyone know the cutoff for pennsylvania

I scored so horribly that it will probably be the lowest score on this thread. I’m in webmastering class right now…How I’m on the computer…160 Composite I am such a loser (sophomore right now)

^Haha, I scored like a 160 sophomore year. I just didn’t try and was up all the night before. Now I am expecting a 200+. It’s no biggie.

^I’m going to study as much as it takes for 200+ next year, but there were a few sophomores here that broke the 200 already. I feel so stupid I want to punch a brick wall.

Put a ton of effort into raising my score in general and got

CR-73
M-72
W-64

Composite-209

Kinda sucks that a couple simple math errors (46+64 =/= 100) would keep me below the cutoff for NMS

Sabreeshockey: [Let me google that for you](<a href=“LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You”>LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You)

Your score seems to be really close to qualifying, but you’re probably going to have to wait until Sept. to know for sure. :)

I ended up getting

Math: 72
Reading: 62
Writing 67
Index - 201

Kinda ****ed about the math… missed one very easy question. What was the -1 score?

Anyways… I made this account real quick to ask about the National Merit stuff. I don’t really understand it all, but I do see that the “Commended” the last two years has been 201 exactly.

When do they announce this? Is it just a title, like “Commended National Merit” or is there anything alongside it?

Thanks

do you think the curve is going to go down/ stay the same/ or increase.

in florida it has trended down from 212 to 211 to 210 and i got a 210 this year.

any predictions?

I’m not sure, but the math curve was extra harsh this year.

Does anyone know for the saturday october 16 psat the critical reading answers for the short passage reality tv crtic and fans one, and also the socrates being conciliatory or pretentious one??thanks!

Ugh, the curve for math was ridiculous. 80R/79W/72M. I only got 2 wrong for math and lost 8 points. I didn’t get an extra penalty, either, since one of them was a free response (On a pitifully easy problem, no less). I got the same number wrong last year with an additional -1 point penalty and received a 75 for math… -_-

234 would sound much better than a 231! Oh well. It’s still a good score ^^

YEEEEEAAAAAHHH!!!
NM cuttoff- 210
my score- 215
percentile- 99%

I did surprisingly well in writing, math curve was REALLY harsh though.

AMAZINGLY happy. (:

80/76/69 - 225 in Hawaii. I think I made my state’s cutoff score. =p lol. One grid-in wrong in math because I forgot to multiply ‘w’ by 3… x.x But other than that. =D

i hope psat’s arent a great indicator or how well you do on the real thing… i just took dec. sat’s…

i got a 183 (57/69(3 WRONG!! and 2 bubbling mistakes…)/57… i’ve been getting 21’s on the pracctice test. i was appalled when i got my score today… i hope i didnt do this bad on the real thing… did anyone experience such a huge drop off?

I got a 199… 68 cr, 58 math, 73 writing.
Am I definitely eligible to be a National Hispanic Scholar?

Is commended always 97% and above? Has it ever been 96%?

Total= 205
Disappointed
Will this for sure be commended?
