I didn’t study or anything and i got back my scores today, they haven’t finished the essay ssection tho. I got:

Math: 550
Reading: 550

Then it said I got a 60 in Grammar.

Does that mean I got an 1100. is an 1100 out of 1600 good or above average? what does a 60 in grammar mean? Do you think it’s possible with taking some practice tests and possibly some classes on the SAT to raise my SAT up to 1200 when I take it in June?

An 1100 is average and it definitely depends on what kind of schools you’re applying to. You can definitely reach 1200, and maybe even 1300 if you work hard enough.

I’m applying to good solid California state schools. The thing is my GPA is low, like a 2.66 and I need a good SAT. We are allowed to take the SAT as many as we like and can send in our 2 best scores. I’ll be applying to schools like SDSU, Chico, LBSU, Sac ST, SFSU.

Ya, I just got emailed with my essay score. I got a 620 out of 800. So my score is a 1720. I think I can do better since I was out the night before and didn’t do any studying. I wanted to see how I’d do first raw. I’ll try and get some prep. I think practice tests are th best way to get better, just review the wrong answers. My essay was on censorship, if it was good or bad. I think most Cal States don’t include the essay part, or maybe it’s the whole writing part…

Ya, that’s what I mean, this was my PSAT. I wanted to see where I was at with my already known knowledge. Of course, for the SAT in May or June I’ll study.

I didnt take the october psat, i took one last week, my first practice test. It said 550 for both and 60 grammar, does thatmean a 600 in grammar?

Hm… I took it last year and got 74, 75, 74… (didn’t study, did better in SAT later thank god) total 223/240, I’m pretty sure it’s suppose to be that times 10 to get the projected SAT scores…

A few months preparations is fne, I’m not going to study for 5-6 months, school probably fills that void. I’ll be taking the SAT in June since my finals are then anyways.
