My niece is in the 11th grade in Philadelphia. I just moved here and found out that no one is helping her to plan for college. She took the PSATs in Oct 2009 and she doesn’t even know how to get scores. Does anyone have any clues as to how I can get these scores? The school is absolutely no help. I’m working on getting her into an SAT prep course and we’re doing college searches online then planning to visit her top 3 choices. Thks!

The scores are sent to the individual high schools and released by the high schools on their own timetable, but usually by January. Have you tried to contact whatever type of guidance office the high school has or the high school principal to see when they will make the scores available to the students? This is a good place to start reading about the PSAT. The College Board web site may have some good planning tools to use based on her PSAT score. <a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools;
