Is it really true that people usually score higher in SAT than PSAT??? I just took a diagnostic test and got shocked of how different PSAT and SAT were. I mean the number of sections and the number of questions is just too different. I haven’t got the score back but I think I scored lower than my PSAT… my PSAT, btw, was 200. I have a test on May and I am freaking worried. I believed that I can score more than my PSAT score so I was relaxed for a bit but now, ****!!!

you should check out papachickens thread statistically comparing cc’ers psat vs new sat scores…according to him…people at the lower end of the psat score range are likely to do better w/ the real sat…

i barely missed national merit with my psat scores. i got like a 2190. then i took the real sat and got a 1220 (january of my junior year… i think that was the last time you could take the old sat). but then i took the sat again and got 2210. so w/e it doesnt really matter. you’re more prepared by time the real sats come along. and take lots of practice tests. its the answer to everything.

Yeah. I did MUCH better on my SAT than PSAT… in fact a 210 point difference. But then again… I didn’t really try on the PSAT.
