<p>Why doesn’t the collegeboard grade the writing section the same as they did in 2002?</p>
<p>my older brother got a 78 and missed 4 questions on the 2002 W section,
whereas in last year’s PSAT all you had to do was to miss 4 to be shot down to <70 on the W section</p>
<p>I guess it wasn’t strict enough to them. They realized that colleges place more emphasis on writing now than before, also why they added W to the SAT I</p>
<p>The 2002 Writing Section was probably much harder than last year’s writing section. But yea -4 got you a 69 last year. Brutal.</p>
