PSATs=moolah?

So I’ve gotten my PSAT letter back and was wondering about the referral system…about what happens when you send your scores to your two top universities. I know some state schools will offer you room and board and maybe some other stuff if you list them as your first choice. Do the Ivies care if you send them your scores? Also, does anyone know of any state schools with accelerated med programs (i.e., 6- or 7-year OR guaranteed entry to their med school) that make similar offers? Sorry for convoluted questions, and thanks in advance for your responses.

the ivies consistently reject people with perfect SAT scores so my assumption would be that they dont care how well you did on ur PSATs nor will they offer you any money and i would be willing to bet they wont really show much interest in you because of it. state schools and low ranked schools that want to raise their avgs by having ppl with good SATs will definately care though. also, i’m sure no accelerated program will care that much except for maybe pretty crappy ones.

Also, at this point it doesn’t matter too much who you list as your top two schools. Scholarships typically come if you advance to finalist in your senior year and list a school as your top choice. What you are doing now is merely demonstrating interest in two schools and letting them know of the possibility that you will be a NM finalist. For that reason, I picked smaller schools that would be more likely to track demonstrated interest.
