@PSUMOMIHOPE I think that’s awesome. Not all kids breeze through school as captains of the football team and straight A’s. I’m glad to see PSU looked at his application more holistically. I find things like this refreshing when there are definite extenuating circumstances to the ‘stats’. Congratulations to you and your son. I’m sure it’s not been an easy road! Welcome to PSU
Wow and yes we were hoping , actually praying they would look at his application holistically. I’m am beyond proud to be part of the PSU family and even more honored
Congrats @PSUMOMIHOPE ! Never hesitate to post boast or brag about your children! I am truly happy for you and your family.
I really like @PSUMOMIHOPE emotion, and very glad that admission office saw the quality of her son! Hope that he will make her proud at Penn State.
@PSUMOMIHOPE congratulations!!! I am so happy for you and your son. Now you are PSUMOMIAM!

Congratulations @PSUMOMIHOPE to you and your son! As a professional working with kids with ID and autism, AND a fellow PSU Class of 2020 MOM, I am so excited to know that PSU embraces educational diversity and celebrates the accomplishments of kids who have had to overcome so much. So excited for you and your son! Best of luck!
Thank you so much, we went from rocking under tables , having The head Master at the Haverford school kick him out , attending an Autism School and having severe tourettes (physical ) to PENN STATE MAIN . It has been a long road not for me but for him, he has climbed mountains and has exceeded all expectations. I too am in the field as a Behavioral Therapist and I have proof that ABA works as long as their is consistency. Wow, I am a Penn State mom this is incredible. WE ARE

Has anyone had any ‘experience’ with attending the Accepted Students Days? I see that there are both ‘general sessions’ and specific sessions for the college you have been accepted into. On the website it indicates…
Accepted Student Programs held on Saturdays are open to all accepted students, regardless of major, and include an information session with an admissions counselor, lunch, and a campus tour. Saturday Accepted Student Programs have a different schedule and location than weekday Accepted Student Programs, which typically include a session with your intended academic college.
Any feedback from anyone who attended would be helpful. Trying to understand if this 3 hour trip is worth it, considering we already did the full tour several months ago. Thanks for any feedback.
My kid is attending the College of Lib Arts Day tomorrow. Will report back to this thread how that goes.
No experience yet, ours is April 19 and by a weird coincidence, Springsteen is giving a concert the night before at Bryce Jordan arena. So we are going to both, can’t wait! Talk about good timing, LOL. I will report on both.
@heyitsme11 Well if you are not a city person. That may take NYU off the list as its right in NYC.
Hmmm and wat about PSU i am thinking of locking PSU… I feel engineering and college life can be enjoyed at PSU… @zipbags thnkz and are u going to attend PSU??
@heyitsme11 I am not attending. But, my daughter will be starting this fall. My D wanted a big rah rah school. Which both PSU, Purdue and OSU are. We went with PSU since my daughter loved the school and its the closest to us.
Hmmm @zipbags i had the choice too but today i decided i will be joining PSU.
Purdue is kind of isolated and OSU isnt tht great even tho both are much cheaper for OOS. I prefer not going to New York… @zipbags any idea on how is the recruitment for PSU for JOBS??
@rohitchinmayb bro u will be accepted soon
Are u indian. Are u dedicated to penn state??
