PSU Class of 2021 Decision Thread

@PSUM2020 Thank you for sharing we really needed to hear this to not lose hope.

My OOS daughter was accepted into Smeal UP, we just visited last weekend for the second time.

She has other options but PSU is her #1 if FA can work in her favor,

@elise303 Lionpath mentions end of March for FA awards, when we were there Monday they mentioned aid notifications would go out starting this week through the end of the month and priority would be for students starting in the summer

Best of of luck to everyone

Is everyone considered for scholarships?
and
Any updates regarding them?

When is financial aid being released?

I was up there last Thursday and Friday and a financial aid representative said that financial aid packages would be released this Monday, March 20th for those that filled out their fafsa on time. Best of luck to everyone!

@judyyy6
Did u ask when will they release scholarships awards?

@“Sheel Patel” they said that scholarships should also be listed on your financial aid award letter but that some of the different departments may inform you later of other scholarships it just depends on what their review process is and how long it takes them

How much is the acceptance fee?

Will the FA ward letter be posted on the application status portal area?

It should be on LionPath when you log in there’s a section that says “view finacial aid award”

@nj3edu It is the deposit plus the housing fee. Two years ago that amount was $330.

I can’t seem to be able to log in to Lion Path

When will financial aid be out? im so anxious!

Does anyone see the financial aid awards on their Lion Path account yet?

You should be getting an email when your financial aid award is ready

I didn’t get the FA award on my Lion Path yet but about an hour ago I did get an "Official Notice: Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy message

Is “lionpath” different that the admission.pennstate.edu website. That’s all my girls seem to have. Not sure what Lion Path is?

All we can log in to is the application portal

LionPATH is where enrollment, class registration, financial aid, bill payment, and a collection of other random things happen.

If it lets you log in similarly to current Penn State students, you can scroll down to the yellow button that says log in, click it, enter your usual PSU username and password. I am not sure if that will work for applicants as well as current students but it may be worth a try. If that’s not it, I’m sure someone else here knows how.

I called and they said we would have to deposit in order to use Lion Path
