I am considering taking PSY 418 (The statistics and research design class) for my second semester freshman year. I have heard the class is quite difficult and few people get A’s. What professors are best/easiest/give the most A’s. Does anyone know about Professor Maddox or Josephs specifically?

have you checked professor review websites such as [Professor ratings, average GPA, class schedule & degree tools | MyEdu](http://www.myedu.com) ?

registration is free and they have a much larger user base than we could ever hope to get for those kinds of things.

A quick check shows that Maddox tends to give out higher grades and is rated a full star (out of 5) ahead of Joseph.

[UT - The University of Texas at Austin | PSY 418 professor GPAs & ratings (Statistics And Research Design) | MyEdu](http://www.myedu.com/PSY-418-Statistics-And-Research-Design/course/s/1503427/professor/)

I took Psy 418 with Josephs, and I liked it. But I would recommend you, like frever has stated, to first read the review websites. Josephs is especially fun during the summer. Another thing to bear in mind is that most of the lab work and grading is done by the TAs. So, I would also take that into consideration.
