Psychology and RPU

It is mandatory that all psychology students participate in research to earn 5 credits unless they want to write a paper. I did an online survey more than 4 weeks ago, but still haven’t earned any point for some reason.

Do I have to set schedule for an actual research if I want to earn 1 RPU? I thought the 30 minute survey online could satisfy the requirement for each RPU.

Did you already receive 4 RPU’s for previous studies that you need to get only 1 more now? I’m not sure what you’re asking here.

The surveys you took online don’t give you any RPU credit. You need to go to [Welcome to the Human Subject Pool System](http://researchpool.rutgers.edu/) and sign up for studies through there. You get to pick the study and then select from available dates. There are studies for 3 RPU’s or 2 RPU’s or 1 RPU or even less.

After you sign up, you’ll get a confirmation email like this:
Study Name: Competent or Not?
Date: Thursday, October 13, 2011 X time
Location: X Building, X room, Livingston Campus
Researcher: Rachel Rubinstein

You will earn 2 Points for your participation. You may cancel your sign-up until Wednesday, October 12, 2011 10:15 AM.

Hope this helps…
