Psychology at Yale

I am thinking about doing a psych major/being premed. Is the psych program good? What type of research/internships are available? Thanks

the psych department is amazing

That’s good. Can you give me more detail?

The top psych dept in the country, especially for undergrad.

u.s. news ranks only graduate programs, but has stanford, berkeley, and michigan as the top three. no yale, sorry.

http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/grad/rankings/phdhum/brief/psyrank_brief.php

the national research council has yale third, after S and M.

the faculty is amazing.
f.scottie- that usnews ranking is for general psych departments. stanford doesnt even offer a clinical psych phd which is by far the most difficult area (and most popular) to get into- yale takes between 3-5 applicants out of over 700, and is definitely one of the top clinical programs in the country.

exactly. and the clinpsych program plus med school-related psych programs , including the best neuropsychiatry program, spill over in a major way into the undergrad classes/research opportunities, yet one more factor making yale by far the best undergrad psych program in the united states.

make him stop,…ulcers.
