<p>I hear that once one takes a psych class, they fall in love and want to major in it. My question is why is psychology so popular at Berkeley? </p>

I found out today Berkeley’s Psychology Department is ranked 1st in the nation. </p>

<p>Well given that we are number 1 in psych it only makes sense that we have the ability to run a subliminal hypnosis machine during lecture to make people love psych.</p>

<p>I’ve spent the last 5 days reading articles on political psychology 10-14 hours of the day (not including breaks in this number). Most of it was enjoyable.</p>
<p>because…it’s just the best major!! lol, eh, I’m guessing it’s popular at a lot of campuses… psychology is just one of those majors that people major in just because they’re interested in it… also, since it’s applicable in so many different fields, it attracts students from diverse backgrounds… I guess in a way everyone is interested in behavior and the mind. And the profs are great, just take a class to see whether or not you’d like it though.</p>
<p>im a sophomore and i changed majors to psychology! all the upper division classes are really interesting and its def applicable to many fields.</p>
