Does anyone know of good public elementary schools in Boston proper?

You need to go to the BPS site that discusses school assignments. Living near a particular school does not necessarily mean your child gets to attend there. http://www.bostonpublicschools.org/assignment We live in the burbs and my daughter attends private school in Boston. Most of her classmates who live in Boston attended private from the get go.
