Public Interest Raises

I work at a legal aid currently as a summer intern and I’m reluctant to pose this question to my fellow coworkers.

Pay scale raises in law firms are huge for associates. Obviously, annual public interest raises are much more modest. Do any of the attorneys on this site know the range for a raise in public interest? I’m curious. I am thinking perhaps $1,000-$3,000 each year as a staff attorney.

Thank you in advance for your input.

I’m sure that it can vary quite considerably from job to job in public interest, but the folks that I know typically (except in the case of promotions) receive annual cost of living raises of 2-3% (regardless of any actual increase in the cost of living).
