I was accepted EDI and am SO excited…but I recently heard that last year Tufts pulled two admission offers (I think ED offers) for significant grade drops, and that as a result other noticeable grade drops, other students were required to meet with the Dean at the beginning of the school year. I would reaaally prefer not to be one of those students. My grades are still good, but the fact is that AP classes only become more difficult as the year goes on, and it doesn’t help that second semester seniors are bogged down with all sorts of additional graduation requirements (projects, banquets, meetings, event planning, exams…for those like me whose schools still require all seniors to take exams, etc.). Even if you can manage to stave off the senioritis, it can still be extremely difficult to maintain the same grades. I’m just curious as to what sorts of grade drops merit an offer-pull or a meeting with the Dean. If anyone knows…especially an admissions officer, I would really appreciate the insight. Thank you so much

m’thinks that as long as you don’t get any C+s or below, you’re fine. I got plenty a B-s 2nd semester and, as an ED1’er, hey I’m still at Tufts.
