purchasing computers through wes

I’m an incoming freshman, and I was wondering whether it is better to buy a new laptop through wes & the cardinal technologies or just buy one myself? has anyone brought through wes and how was their experience?

if you want a Mac, you can get the student discount price through Wes, and they throw in some other goodies, like a flash drive and protection sleeve, and it’s waiting for you in your dorm room. however, you can also get the student discount by buying direct from Apple, and get the free ipod and printer deal through either I believe. however, you don’t have to wait until late August to use the computer if you buy through Apple. not sure about Windows PC’s…

oh okay thanks. i was just wondering which was the better route. I suppose I’ll have to wait until the summer for Apple’s incentive packages.

the protection plan that they give you through Wesleyan’s plan is apparently amazing–better and cheaper than applecare. for this reason I’ve heard going through the school is the best route, although you could compare your options with apple’s own student discount.
