RD OOS son waitlisted for engineering with a 1510 SAT, top 5% of class, 98 UW GPA, 9 APs (all 5s/4s), and varsity/club sports & leadership roles.

If we had to do it over, he wouldn’t apply RD for FYE. While we knew chance of acceptance was miniscule, Purdue’s process of dropping results every Friday is unnecessarily stressful (just pick a date and announce everything at once!) He’s moved on, so he won’t be joining the WL. Good luck everyone!

DS24 was EA Deferred and rejected for CS and AI. OOS, 1460 SAT, 3.84 GPA, 9 AP’s. I kind of saw it coming in recent weeks, and actually kind of relieved and fine with where he’ll end up committing. Purdue is absolutely a great school and congrats to those that have gotten in!!! Good luck to everyone else that was either rejected or deferred, know that you’ll have the opportunity to do great things wherever you end up!!!

After 5 months of agonizing wait since the nov 1 EA application deadline, it feels like a slow painful tortuous death moving from status deferred to waitlisted, every friday felt like knives were poked into me waiting for the status to change from “Decided” to “Completed”. And when the status finally changed it was a blood bath Friday full of rejections and waitlists. Ironically it was " Good Friday " yesterday

Have any admitted students received a financial aid estimate? I know they’re coming out of the for schools who use the CSS in addition to the FAFSA. I really hope we get one this month.

My daughter got admitted into Business school RD.
Her letter says “ upper division “. Could someone please guide me what it means?
Also does Perdue give any merit for RD applicants?

Merit is only EA, maybe if you got deferred you can get some but I don’t think I’ve seen any so maybe not
