I called purdue, all admit status will updated on 3/31st.

Daughter has a RD portal update today. She’s waiting to get home from practice to check it, and MIT and Florida and UVA…
She was just accepted To First Year Engineering, RD, out of state.
Accepted to UF, waitlist at UVA, Rejected MIT (of course)

Did she get like a e-mail saying there was an update to her portal? Or she just checked the portal?

No word here either (also comp sci).
We are waiting also on aerospace, applied for early action originally and deferred back in January.
Did you choose an alternative major? In our case, the 2nd choice major worked out.

Everyone is complaining about Cal Poly SLO, but this is way worse. At least with CP, when they send out the waitlist wave, and you’re not on it, you can pretty much guarantee your rejection.
I honestly don’t understand the Cal Poly situation. Purdue is a bit more confusing but again you are getting decisions by April 1st on both cases. People should not be wasting their time checking their portal, they need to be patient and actually wait for the email, opening the decision a few hours later won’t change the decision lol.
Other universities are releasing decisions in like the last few days of March, Cal Poly and Purdue are letting some applicants know early which is great for them.
Wise words. If I stayed off these forums, it would be out of mind. In our house it helps that I can put my nervous energy here and not be bugging my kid about it. I am from the era where we just checked our real life mailbox once a day!
