Purdue Early Action for Fall 2024 Admission

Yay! That’s where we’re staying!

Was that organized by the school? How did you hear about it? It would be great to attend something like that as we are in West Lafayette for a couple of days. However, it is Easter w/e so there’s that…

Our student got an email about the pizza party to sign up.

If you eat breakfast at the hotel restaurant, reservations are recommended and it’s table service so allow plenty of time.

Fall 2022 FYE was approximately 37% according to purdue website

Does that mean no more acceptances?

I remember reading 34% for Fall 2023 but I can’t seem to find that stat anymore. It was 37% for CoE in 2022. (That I can find on the FAQ page of COE).

It does seem to creep lower every cycle.

Yes, this year in the FYE ea cycle had a 32% acceptance rate- got this information from an engineering admitted students event a few weeks ago!

Actually after the March 1 batch the acceptance rate is at 38%. Don’t think there will be more FYE admission as the total offers made have gone above last year’s total.

Also, this is for WL campus. Engineering at Indy is at 60% with avg SAT 1370 vs 1470 at WL.

Was this information shared by CoE at an admitted student day?

heard from someone else who likely has reliable source. total admitted has also gone above 2023 and 2022 so unless they have a reason to believe yield will be lower this year there will be almost no more admission.

wow atleast they should just reject people who are waiting, how can they do that?

nobody knows how the yield will pan out. After rejection they cannot take it back. I think Purdue is closely monitoring # of deposit paid to see if they can admit more.

I think if they want deposits paid, there’s plenty of folks on here that are VERY READY to pay!!!

They extended their date to pay deposit for EA too now from 5/1 to 5/15.

is this just for COE or the entire university

You know I’m referring to the all those Deferred and anxiously waiting for a decision… For most, Purdue is their top choice, so would jump at an acceptance.

Entire university

I was surprised to see the ranking in the 2024 US news & world report magazine.
