Yes we have continued interest option in the forms tab.
CS IS and have no reply form tab
Not me
whats IS?
We went back to the tan box and have the Larson program with instructions on how to apply. Good news? We shall see.
It should be good news. Larsen program is only for accepted students according to website.
I would assume IS is “In State.” OOS is “Out of State.”
where is that? Do you see the reply forms thing? It shows letter of continued interest for me. Pretty sad.
Just googled " Updated July 6, 2023. If a college wait-listed you or put you on a deferral list, you might write a letter of continued interest (LOCI). This document expresses to admissions committees that you still desire acceptance to the institution ." My son has Letter of continued tinterest under forms
Summarizing everything i’ve here to make sure I understand, feel free to correct if you think something is wrong.
If you have Reply Form for Larsen Business: High Chance of Admittance
If you have LOCI form: High to total chance of Defer
If you have tan box and nothing else: Unknown
If you have change request for Change Major/ Location/ Appeal Request: Not a signal, everyone has
Please correct if any of this is wrong
Read under Defer : A defer decision simply means that we need additional time to assess the space in your desired program before making a final decision. Students are encouraged to provide new grades, test scores, and complete the Letter of Continued Interest form in the student application portal. We will notify deferred students of their final decision before March 31.
For all the kiddos and parents worrying and reading into the changes (many of whom I am seeing FYE)…the best of the best students are applicants to Purdue in Engineering. It is a TOP program and it is extremely impacted. MANY don’t get in who are amazing students. If you applied, you likely fit the criteria to apply so be proud of the work you are doing and have been doing in school and beyond. There is NO WAY to know your actual admissions decision until it is released.
DENY
We are unable to offer the student a spot in the incoming class. This could be due to a variety of factors from our holistic review process; you can view everything we consider for application here. Students are able to request their application be re-evaluated if they provide new information or change their major once receiving this decision. We are able to direct these students to one of our regional campuses for admission. Students who are interested in this option should reach out to the regional campus they are interested in attending to complete the next steps related to their offer of admission. From there, the student can take classes and earn a Purdue degree, or take classes with the intention to transfer to Purdue West Lafayette to finish their degree.
DEFER
A defer decision simply means that we need additional time to assess the space in your desired program before making a final decision. Students are encouraged to provide new grades, test scores, and complete the Letter of Continued Interest form in the student application portal. We will notify deferred students of their final decision before March 31.
WAITLIST
Students are placed on a waitlist when we are unable to offer them a spot in the incoming class due to various reasons. However, it is possible that after the May 1 deadline, space may become available. By accepting a position on the waitlist, students could potentially be given admission if a spot in their desired program opens.
box disappeared again haha
In the Larsen form, do you see upper division or lower division?
Yes, upper division for me
do any of you know if purdue rejects a lot of EA or would they mostly just defer?
It’s about even, but you still have a good chance if defer. Not like clemson who deffered everyone.
Do you know if these means anything?
none of this portal astrology means anything guys, we are overthinking this. just chill!!
