I am a CS applicant and I don’t. I did have a form that allowed me to change my major within Purdue though. Oh and apply for a new location too.
If you were deferred, you will have loci link at the direct link for reply forms.
damn I guess you’re in then
all just sepculation nothing is confirmed until decisions
It’s not really speculation when you have a Letter of Continued interest form. They say on the website that is for deffered students. All else besides this though is speculation, some claims stronger than others.
Seconded
Perhaps. I also think LOCI is a very very strong indicator of deference though. Maybe they made some kind of big mistake? Who knows.
so you are saying that if there is no form there is still chance of a deferral?
I have the same thing. My box was there about 3 hours ago and it disappeared a bit later. No longer have the option to cancel my application.
I’m not sure really. There is a chance for everything until decision time rolls around, which is January 12th I’m guessing…
Some have speculated that if you see the option to change major or location, it could mean deferred but they’ll reconsider you for a different program or campus. But reality is we don’t know for certain.
there has been no difference to my portal since i submitted other than residency confirmation
I thought that if you had the change major or location option, you might have been accepted
i believe some people who got the change location/major thing did say that they said when applying that they were NOT willing to go to one of the satellite campuses. Which could mean not accepted. I feel like I read somewhere that last year that form led you basically to submitting a new application
yes that is true, changing your major is gonna submit a new application
so why would only accepted students have that? I feel like at that point its basically a whole new application that would be open to anyone
this is confusing guys… yall are saying any option that showed up for us indicates a defferal or rejection but nothing indicates an acceptance
It seems they were testing those options requiring more IT efforts, such as deferral, waitlist, change locations, etc. straight accept or reject are rather easy from IT point of view. I have a feeling those saw a lot of changes back and forth might be those kinds. Those saw less changes in their portal might be either straight acceptance or straight rejection.
on reddit, I believe the current speculation is that no form + cancel application is an acceptance
isnt it funny how were all stressing and trying to pull at strings here and we might be completely shocked (good or bad) come friday
