@aewlmom ours sounds same except we don’t have “cancel your application “ link
I think the links they are talking about (Change Major and Cancel Application) are not “buttons.” They are links that are under the “Profile and Application Changes” tab. I just saw this entire conversation, so I have no idea if I had any additional tabs/buttons earlier today, but I do have those two links on my Profile and Application Changes tab.
SAT 1510
ACT 32
GPA 3.7
Multiple AP classes, work experience and activities. GPA is not as strong as other applicants so I’m a bit worried.
Only had 2 buttons. Change major is there with Computer Science in gray with the option to change, but he also only applied with that major.
Good luck to everyone! Results come out at 5!
Lots of info a few days ago on Twitter from Purdue admissions. Including that merit scholarships will be announced with decision, but supplemental scholarships will come with financial aid in Feb. Also that decisions won’t come out before 5p. ET
@kasper0137 i just read the a statement on the website “To meet an application deadline, all required materials must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the deadline date.”
My English proficiency was ‘received’ by November 12th. Is it possible i may have been considered for the regular decision pool instead? When were items in your checklist received?
BTW, still no change of any sort on my page.
@BadBoySupreme If you met the Early Action deadline, it should say so In red under the tab where the green check marks are.
is it possible that you are admitted to first-year engineering but without a major assigned, although you indicated a major in the application ?
Oh the suspense! Wishing you all good luck. I have a current Boiler and number 2 is hopeful. My 1st boiler chose Purdue over the Ivy’s(made a wise financial choice) and is extremely happy with the decision.
@NJEngineerDad All engineering students are accepted to First Year Engineering and then indicate preference of major later. There is then a selection process for who gets into each major.
Here is the source:
@NJdadEngineer Purdue admits all first time students to First Year Engineering (FYE) without a major. Transition to Major (T2M) application begins in the second semester.
@jdcollegedad and @NJEngDadz thank you for your responses. Does that mean whatever you mention on the application had no meaning ?
I also see people mentioning in this forum that they got in to their first major or second major. So what does that mean ?
Clarification: Is the consensus on this thread that 4 buttons showing earlier equates to acceptance? What’s the consensus on what only the two buttons showing indicates? deferral? rejection? or not really sure??? Only 2 were showing for me previously…
That’s what I am thinking. We only had the 2 buttons. I’m thinking that may be indicative of rejection or deferral.
What about the reply forms? or are we thinking it’s just random?
Hi. The new buttons came on my portal at around 8am and was there for a while but they’ve disappeared suddenly about 2-3 hours ago. Any reason to be worried?
Never had a Reply form tab. Had 4 tabs earlier today and still have Change major (with first choice in drop down) and cancel application.
@Noisymom where is that info on the portal? The change major dropdown?
