My DC had Data Science as the second Major but CS as the first one and he made it to CS. Heard Data science is a new program at Purdue and a very good one.

Any suggestions on what I could do to assure them that they’re my first-choice school? Like where do I send them a letter of continued interest or something…? Please help me out.

Earlier, I could complete the registration form, but it kept telling me to select my school (although I had already) when I tried to submit. Now I keep getting “500 Unavailable” error. I’m thinking the server is just overwhelmed–it still shows regardless of school/date I choose.
Daughter OOS- NJ Accepted FY Engineering wGPA 3.95, uwGPA 3.75 4 APs, ACT 32 Superscored, No merit award mentioned.
D is happy with the acceptance to such a good engineering course but disappointed on lack of merit award. The full cost for OOS is ~$45K so right now we will keep on the list and likely attend Purdue For Me day. Have acceptances from WPI that after merit award is about the same cost, Rutgers and U of Delaware but still waiting on U Mass at Amherst, Georgia T (reach), Virginia T, RIT, U Maryland CP, Vanderbilt (reach) - deferred at Case Western Reserve.
This is a long journey and its going to go to the wire I feel at the end of April!
If I submitted any documents/official test scores after the EA deadline (even though I already submitted my app to Purdue before the deadline), will I still be considered for an EA decision?

Hey I have been deferred for Data science major and rejected for CS major. Can I know if I can ask the AOs to consider me for engineering as well in regular round. Is that possible? Please help me out guys!

Switching majors (CODO) into Engineering is very difficult. Is there any information on RD consideration for 1st choice? Was is clear whether it was deferred or rejected?
In or Out of State Massachusetts? UMass Amherst looks to be $8-10K more per year OOS, eating up some of the scholarship difference. I don’t think anyone can opine on which may be better for you.
Pretty sure all application material need to be in by the deadline - quoted earlier.

I was accepted into Computer Science which was the only major I put down on the application. Is it possible to ask for consideration for acceptance into Engineering during RD?
Seeing remarkably few deferrals (and even fewer rejections), despite Purdue Admissions warning about high deferral rate. Of course, good news is always easier to post in a forum like this… But would be nice to see deferral stats too.
