Today

My son just turned down his acceptance at Purdue major Chemistry. Hopefully someone on the waitlist will get his spot. Good luck. Purdue was too far for him being from NH.

my son was admitted in CofE from EA, but registration for “Purdue’s for me” or “Destination Purdue” visit are all full, will they add more space when they release RD result ?

Any one has information of the college of pharmacy?
Is the job market good after graduation? Where do those graduates work?

Hey guys, So i’m an international student looking forward to enroll at purdue Engineering. I’m planning on staying in the US after completing my Undergraduate studies at Purdue, perhaps moving on to earn a master’s and possibly a PhD. Does anyone know how easy would it be for me to find a job after graduation? How would employers view an engineering degree from Purdue? I am also planning on carrying out a 3 degree co-op program at one of Purdue’s sponsors (i.e Gulfstream or GE), would it be much harder for an international student to get into a co-op program than a US citizen?? Thank you.

@yw123 Purdue engineering is a highly respected and marketable degree. That said, I would encourage you to speak directly to the Office Of Professional Practice and the International Student Office at Purdue. Generally speaking it’s very difficult for international students to obtain work at companies with government contracts. Ask about where international students co-op and the percentage that obtain placements.

The international students my D knows are having a difficult time finding work in the US.

Can someone chance me to see if I have a chance of getting in?

I have just got accepted to PU today!!!

I got accepted today to the polytechnic institute for Aeronautical Engineering Technology. Can anyone give me a review of how the program is and if it is better than aeronautical engineering at the college of engineering?

@d33psan they are two completely separate majors, in different colleges within Purdue. Look up the four year plans of study and career outcomes to highlight the differences.

Is one better than the other or is it just a difference in the career options?

The CoE program is much more rigorous and more difficult to get accepted but it depends what you want to do post graduation. The Polytechnic degree is not an aerospace engineering degree. It’s a technical degree program. It sounds like you need to do much more research into your program.

I got accepted as an animal science undergrad yesterday! I got my financial aid in by the priority deadline, so any idea when I will get my package? I applied regular decision, and am out of state.

Purdue just cancelled the Purdue For Me (admitted students days) for the rest of year. We were going on March 23 so this really puts my son in a tough spot as this is the only school we have not seen in person.

Others in the same boat? What is your plans?

My D is a second year engineering student at Purdue. I’m happy to answer any questions I can.

Purdue is moving to online classes after 3/23 because of the virus so I’m not surprised visit days are cancelled.

Be sure you’ve joined the admitted students parent FB group. Admissions live streams lots of info and Q&A sessions. Lots of videos on YouTube as well.

What is the code to join the Purdue Facebook group?

For students, search for: Purdue University Class of 2024

It’s a closed group so you will be asked for information before the moderators approve you.

For parents: search for Purdue University Class of 2024 - Parents. Again, you will need to be approved by the moderators.

Purdue also has a FB page called Purdue Parent and Family Connections with good information.
