Am I getting rejected?
Coming friday is mostly gonna be waitlists I think
Last cycle there were acceptances on the last day. One more week to go.
Hang in there everyone.
Were there a lot? Or was it a few?
All folks eagerly awaiting Purdue decisions at this point:- hope for the best, but plan for the worst.
How the decisions have panned out in previous years, may or may not have any bearing on how decisions will be in this cycle, so itâs in your best interest to not second guess anythingâitâs pointless.
Try and be a bit unemotional and conservative at this point. You donât want to be gutted in the event that Purdue decision donât go your way.
If you already have options you like better than Purdue or almost on par, then nothing to worry anyway.
But if Purdue is your top choice, then do the mental work of identifying the school youâd be happy to go to among your other options right away.
Purdue is a great school but not the only good school.
Good luck to all waiting.
I hope not man, Ive gotten 4 waitlists atp, no acceptances
Waiting for Friday! CS deferred
We just got to campus. My daughter is taken aback by the volume of Greek houses that surround campus. How prevalent is Greek life?
Only 20% of students participate in Greek life.
My daughter went to a grand total of one greek party in her 4 years at Purdue.
I am still deferred and eagerly awaiting. I have made it in to VT, so that is probably 2nd decision assuming I donât make it into an Ivy. They must have gotten the guillotine out from what Iâm hearing. My stats are great but who knows how itâll go. I applied OOS to FYE, with a high 35 ACT (~1560), 4 UW, 4.577 W (My school weights weirdly) Rank 5 out of 170, 12 AP classes, most importantly with a 5 in Phys 1 and Calc AB (AP Scholar with distinction), and I am an Eagle Scout. All that meant the deferral threw me off a bit, so I am relieved to not be the only one.
My sonâs stats are nearly identical to yours. Also deferred OOS fye.
when did you guys submit LOCI
LOCI - End of January. My D25 was admitted to her alternate major.
We submitted LOCI on Feb 2nd
End of January
How was your visit. We went to the Purdue for Me yesterday. This helped her decide Purdue was not for her.
Why is that, may I know what didnât work for her?
Oh thatâs too bad. My daughter loved it. She felt the environment was supportive and the students are smart kids who like to learn and want to do well. We attended the WiE breakout session and she def wants to join that if she commits. She handled the wind much better than me
What was the deciding factor for your daughter?
It wasnât a good fit for her afterall.
I wonder if some of the vibe was because students were just returning from spring break. âSadâ would never be an adjective that I would use to describe Purdue students.
