Purpose of College Traditions??

<p>The title says it all. SO what is purpose behind the college traditions?? wat are its benefits ??</p>

<p>Well, it depends on the tradition. In general, though, they’re something that the community can gather around and that make up some part of the community’s cultural identity. Much like traditions in the wider world (e.g. 4th of July parades, a particular family’s Thanksgiving dinner).</p>

<p>They are shared experiences that create a stronger sense of community. Most humans crave them, and all human cultures, from entire nations to religions to sports fans, have them.</p>

<p>And this will make you want to give back to the community. In other words, the college would like you to donate money, hire graduates, etc.</p>
