MirabileDictu, those are both lovely.

MirabileDictu: Thank you! Those Ally Capellino frame bags may be perfect for me. Do you recommend ordering on-line? I’ll be in London later this year if it makes sense to go to a shop?

alh -

I would definitely go to the shop. It’s nice to be able to try the bag out to see how the size really works for what you carry, and if the strap can be adjusted to a length you like, etc. I went to the one in Shoreditch, but if you want to spend a day shopping, the Portobello Road location is probably better. And given the price of the bags, watch for the sales in January and June/July.

I got the “Marta” for my birthday, but I covet the “Lana” (largest of the frame bags).

More yummy purses. :)

Thanks to this thread I asked for one of those hip bags that can attach to your belt loops for my birthday. I wore it into NYC yesterday and it was great. I didn’t trust that particular pair of pant’s belt loops so wore it with the belt it also comes with. Held the phone, my tiny wallet, lip gloss and keys with room to spare.

I have many Vera Bradley bags, some of which I purchased at retail outlets and others- some discontinued patters that I love- from eBay. Bought a brand-new Coach saddle flap bag at a resale shop a few years ago- $25! But my favorite bag was a gift last Christmas: found a couple from Michigan on Etsy who make bags to order, Yay!!! Mine is glove soft black leather hobo bag with a bright blue, striped lining (you can pick your exterior and interior colors). There are 3 pockets on the inside, two slanted zipper pockets on the outside and a snap in key holder. The shoulder strap is soft and has a suede patch to keep it from sliding off of my shoulder. I think it was about $85, and worth every penny!

Great idea. I’ve always thought there might be a good market for that. Do you have a vendor name or link? I find Etsy hard to search.

I haven’t used them, but I’ve heard artbag.com in NYC does beautiful repair and restoration and makes bags, too. I love the before and after pics, its like This Old House for leather bags.

I haven’t read through this entire thread, so sorry if someone has already put this out, but for people who like coach bags, there’s a great site for coach… It’s coachfactory.com
They are coach bags, not knock-offs. Someone at the coach store suggested it to me when I was looking for an older bag.

I am lately in love with Tod’s tote bags. They are beautiful. Here: [Tod’s Sella Large Shopping Bag In Leather, All, Bags, Shop Women.](http://store.tods.com/Tods/US/categories/Shop-Women/Bags/All/Tod’s-Sella-Large-Shopping-Bag-in-Leather/p/XBWALOA0400TOPS017)

Waaaaaaay too pricey for me, but eBay has some nice “pre-owned” ones for a few hundred bucks.

^^^VH what are the dimensions of the Tod’s Sella Bag?

There are all kinds of fake high-end purses sold on eBay. I found out about it after I got scammed. There’s a site called Purse Forum and there are people who will help you authenticate Tod’s bags, especially those that are posted for sale on eBay and similar sites.

[Authenticate This TODS! - Please use the proper format in post #1 - PurseForum](http://forum.purseblog.com/tods/authenticate-tods-please-use-proper-format-post-1-a-416418.html)

Tutu, if you do a search on Google images for “Miranda Kerr with sella bag” you can see it with a person carrying it.

I don’t think it’s making it in an NFL game. ;)

Just as mailboxes come with a stamp of approval by the Postmaster General, I anticipate that some purses will come with a “approved by the NFL” tag soon :)

Yes, I highly recommend browsing the Purse Forum and educating yourself with what an authentic purse looks like. I came across that site when the Gucci bag I bought from Blue Fly did not look right to me… Surely enough, there was a ton of posts about people getting fakes from what appeared to be an entire batch of purses sold by that online retailer!

Missed a beautiful Prada bag on Yoogis by a few minutes! Aaarrrggghhh!

TutuTaxi:

From the website, “The bag measures 40 x 28 x 17,5 cm; handles 17 cm; shoulder strap 100 cm.”

If anyone feels like converting those measurements into inches, please post!

Just divide everything by 2.5.
That’s a very lovely purse, VH.

And one that I certainly can’t afford. :(

Too bad the price can’t be divided by 2.5!

Did anyone make it to Target last weekend and snag a Phillip Lim purse? They sold out online in minutes and very quickly in stores too.

D ended up with these two:

[3.1 Phillip Lim for Target® Medium Satchel -… : Target](http://www.target.com/p/3-1-phillip-lim-for-target-medium-satchel-brown/-/A-14604679#prodSlot=large_1_1)

[3.1 Phillip Lim for Target® Medium Satchel -… : Target](http://www.target.com/p/3-1-phillip-lim-for-target-medium-satchel-black/-/A-14621587#prodSlot=large_1_1)
She was happy to get two purses for less than $100 since his designer line sells for $895 and up!
