My CC page is covered with purses right now.

I expect it from CC, but I’m still surprised when it follows me to Facebook. Maybe there will be a brand new purse in my closet when I next look!

I’m not surprised about Facebook… It is very invasive and snoopy. As long as it not semi-porn or something disgusting, I just ignore the ads.

Cartera, that is my purse, too! I got it as a birthday gift from Mr B eons ago - I think it was close to $100 when he bought it. I still have it in the closet somewhere… Together with the Michael Green bag which I also wore to shreds.

Maybe for my big 5-O I will ask Mr B for a Chanel bag…
It never hurts to ask… :)

BB - Which Chanel bag do you want?

This was my first Coach bag in mahogany:

[Coach :: COACH CLASSIC BASIC BAG](http://www.coach.com/online/handbags/Product-coach_classic_basic_bag-10551-10051-9455-en?cs=tan&catId=5000000000000052055)

I still have the bag! It has that worn patina look now. :)

I have posted this before…my girls get a bag every time there is a breakup. I ask them if it is brand X (cheaper bag) or brand Y (more expensive) worthy breakup. D2 just got her first breakup bag and we named it, so it is official. Got just a bit of smile (behind her tears) out of her.

^^ I still love that and I tell others that story!

Are there anniversary bags for when the relationship stays together? I hope D2’s heart is on the mend, Oldfort.

If the relationship is going so well, they would be so happy that they wouldn’t need a bag. BTW - I’ve only had to buy 2 bags for D1, and I hope that’s going to be it. :)

I had the Coach Classic City Bag when it was first introduced in 1987. Wish I had kept it.

I’m currently looking for a new black bag for fall, so am enjoying this thread.

Love the breakup bag and traveling Kate Spade stories!

Does anyone else besides me love the “Pippa” bag? I am not in love with the brass plaque with the manufacturer’s name, or with the prominent zippers, but I love the size and 3-compartment structure. It’s similar to the Levenger bag that I already have.

[Pippa Grab Tan - Pippa - Shop](http://www.modalu.com/shop/pippa-bags-handbags/pippa-grab-tan-1.html)

It is also very expensive, and has to be ordered from England. Someone must be making a knockoff, I wish I knew how to find it.

Oldfort, hope the bag did its magic.
Poor kiddo!

TutuTaxi, I would love to get the Moscow tote - alas, it was a limited edition item. I wi happily settle for a classic wallet on a chain (looks like this, but in “caviar”):

[Fashionphile - CHANEL Aged Calfskin Reissue Wallet On Chain WOC Black](CHANEL Aged Calfskin Reissue Wallet On Chain WOC Black 43926 | FASHIONPHILE)
or the smaller 2.55 Reissue.

Another one I like is the leather Gucci Jackie
[Teal leather Jackie](http://m.bluefly.com/gucci-teal-leather-jackie-shoulder-bag/PRODUCT_FEED/324970001/detail.fly?partner=Gate_CSE_Google+Product+Ads_Gucci_Handbags&referer=ca_google_productads&PROMO=promo970009&cm_mmc=ca_google_productads-_-Gucci-_-womens_handbags_shoulder_bags-_-324970001&mkwid=4VZkKz5h&pcrid=25692385508&pmt=&kwd=&pmid=&mr:adType=pla&gclid=CJqYvYr3k7kCFWfhQgodJQoACA)

Ahhh… One can dream, can’t one? :)

OK, I’m not a handbag person. I’m a forget it everywhere person. Didn’t carry one much as a teen and when I worked I put things in my briefcase. So if they have a purse that beeps when you leave it behind, that’s what I need! :)

Here’s a solution for the NFL issues: [Hipzbag | Waist Bag - Travel Bag - Cell phone Bag - Belt Wallet](http://www.hipzbag.com/)
I have one of these and love it. It holds my small wallet and cell phone and one lipgloss. What more do I need? Seriously I tend to put stuff in pockets (I know, terrible look but good function). I have a small wallet that carries ID and a couple of credit cards, some bills folded and a small change pocket.

I love that Pippa bag!

I’m not usually much of a bag person, so this thread has been really nice because I actually like many of the bags people have posted or made mention of here. I have pretty good willpower when it comes to shopping, but when I do make a purchase I want it to be one about which I have some enthusiasm. I’m storing ideas. :)

BB - Love, love, love the Chanel - very classy! And the Gucci is nice too.

Oldfort - nice tradition and hoping you’re not buying anymore ‘breakup’ bags.

The outside zippers on the Pippa bag make it worth the price + shipping.

The Pippa bag is fabulous! Probably too heavy for me to carry around.

I like the fact that those classic Chanel bags do not scream “Coco was here!!!” :)

A couple of years ago Gucci had a great new collection of bags (1973), which included a plain leather Sukey. I wish I had bought that one back then when they were on sale, because it almost always comes in logo fabric or leather. This is what the Sukey looks like: [Gucci Sukey](http://www-m.gucci.com/us/styles/211944AA61G2019) - it is the most frequently counterfeited Gucci bag! The handles on the small Sukey are even long enough for under the arm wear.

Wow - that teal “Jackie” is a thing of beauty!

My CC page thinks I should eat yogurt.

I’m of the el cheapo end of handbags mostly.

I like to carry the smallest shoulder bag I can manage - big enough for small wallet, business card holder, cell phone and lip gloss, a pencil and a pen. My current little bag actually has too many pockets. Then I put that bag in a tote which carries a lot more - usually a grid notebook, tape measure, laser measurer, flashlight at minimum.

For a while my tote was this laptop bag, [Kyoto from KNOMO: Official Store | Men’s Cross Body Bag Tabac Leather | Mens Bags | iPad Bags | Designed by KNOMO London](http://www.knomobags.com/usa/kyoto-cross-body-tote-tabac-matte-laptop-bag.html) - I really like it but it’s just a bit too heavy.

I just went shopping in my closet. I pulled out the Coach bag and found an old Etienne Aigner clutch with a strap that is also in great shape. I was never an Aigner fan so it must have been a gift, but now it looks kind of iconic. I can definitely knock about with it. I threw some Leather Therapy on both and they look great. I’m remembering my beef with the Coach bag - not very pickpocket safe with just the flap and no closure.

We should have a Flat Stanley purse, sort of like the Kate Spade bag PG’s friend has, only this one would have a notepad in it where each person jots down a little bit about its most recent adventure before it gets sent on to the next person.
