<p>I’m a transfer JMC student, and I received my housing assignment for Akers. Was this a mistake since I’m in James Madison? And are there both freshmen and sophomores living in Akers?</p>

<p>It’s not a mistake - as a transfer student you can be put anywhere - living in case is only a requirement for JMC freshmen. However akers is crazy far from case hall, and if I were you I’d do anything I can to switch into a dorm that is closer-by (south complex). My one friend who was also a jmc transfer was placed in mcdonel. The 2nd day after he moved in a spot in case hall opened up and they asked him if he wanted to move over. I’d just contact them asap…if they won’t switch it now, you likely will be able to have the opportunity to switch it later. Just keep your eyes/ears open and inquire as much as you can.</p>
