Anyone here doing it? Or thinking about doing it?

I might do it, but it really depends on the schedule. I’m not planning on taking Math 100.

Are you a current student? What do they say about Math 100? Is it necessary, helpful, both, or neither?

Yes. I haven’t talked to anyone that took Math 100, but the guy that taught it this past year was a Putnam Fellow in 1963 and the guy teaching it next year was a Putnam Fellow 3 times, plus the only person to ever get a perfect score at the International Math Olympiad 3 times, so it’s probably pretty useful.

Has Terry ever taught it?

I took it this past year. It was so incredibly difficult. The math 100 class didn’t really prepare me much for it, as the topics are hit or miss. I thought I had complete solutions to 4 of the 12 problems (comparing my solutions to the posted solutions), but somehow ended up scoring only 2 points total.

I see. I might take the class anyways, or might not, depending on my schedule. Is it offered every year?

Yes, it’s offered every fall.
