Phil the Groundhog didn’t see his shadow and predicts an early Spring. All I can say is from Phil’s shadow to Mother Nature’s ears! He didn’t see his shadow due to a massive ice storm that was hitting the Northeast. I sure hope he’s right because I can’t take much more of this weather!

LOL. :D

No shadow here either. Whiteout from the blizzard.

Does it still count if he’s snowed in to his little burrow? Oh hell - I don’t even care. Just bring on spring!!!

^^^ Agree!!! Don’t care if it’s all a big superstition/joke/hoax --I’m completely willing to grab at any and all straws.

I’d be happy to see my GRASS if there is an “early spring”…which is doubtful.

Grass is a myth, an ancient legend. Let go of your belief in it, Thumper, and embrace the truth of never ending snow and ice.

Our local groundhog didn’t see his shadow either, but we’re still dealing with sleet & freezing rain now.

Sleeting rain probably had something to do with the lack of a shadow, but I agree that we’ll take that prediction!

aren’t the two choices…six more weeks of winter OR an early spring? Where I am, if spring comes in six weeks…that would be considered an early spring!!

Unfortunately I heard reports of a Spring with continued storms in the way of heavy rain showers!
Hope they’re wrong on that prediction.
